Lecturer
I completed my Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at the University of Glasgow before joining the University of Bedfordshire as a Lecturer in November 2009. The aim of my PhD was to investigate how readers understand pronominal references and logically equivalent frames.
In completing this research I used a number of different techniques including pencil and paper tasks, eye-tracking and event related potentials.
My current research interests are still in the area of psycholinguistics and can be seen detailed below.

- A cross cultural comparison of understanding scalar implicatures; a study in English and Japanese.
- The effects of markedness on word recognition and reading; establishing markedness as an independent factor in word processing.
