Profile
Dr Patricia Roberts, Senior Lecturer
I was awarded a PhD in the area of Cognitive Psychology from the University of Luton. The specific focus of this research was an Investigation into the Structure of Numerical Cognition and, in particular, examining associations found between numerical cognition, spatial representations and memory processes. I have a BA (Hons) Psychology/Health also from the University of Luton.
As a Senior lecturer within the Department of Psychology I undertake a diverse range of research, teaching and consultancy activities. My main area of research interest is in neuropsychology.
Recent collaborative work with a local brain injury association has explored the diagnoses of cognitive deficits and possible implementations of rehabilitation strategies for individuals with acquired brain injury.
My undergraduate and post graduate teaching is informed by my research as well as consultancy work.
Areas of current consultancy training sessions have included delivering research methods design and analysis to internal colleagues and external delegates from a variety of different organisations.
