"I am a Doctor of Medicine."
After gaining his first degree at Luton, Amir Reyahi continued his medical studies here with a Masters course in Health Psychology and was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in 2000.
He then went to medical school in St Lucia and graduated with a degree in medicine in 2003.
Amir is now a qualified doctor, working at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital NHS Trust and pursuing a career in surgery.
He enjoyed his time at Luton and said: “The University is very good and has a lot of advantages, I would encourage prospective students to go there – both to the University and the town, as they have a lot to offer."
“It was the best time of my life. We didn’t have a care in the world back then and were with friends most of the time, having fun! My studies there certainly helped me get into medical school and have made me a better doctor.”
Interview took place in 2004.
