Principal Lecturer in Sports Science
I am interested in the application of sports science to an understanding of performance, participation and pedagogy in sport and physical activity. Much of my effort focussed on exploring and developing ways to teach and disseminate knowledge to undergraduate students that have impact, meaning and application.
I teach psychology and psychomotor skills and development to undergraduates on both non QTS and QTS programmes.
In particular I am interested in the development and performance of movement skills. My teaching and scholarly activity is focussed on extending my understanding of the mechanisms for that underpin skilled performance and skill acquisition. Furthermore I have an interest in how these mechanisms change as a consequence of progress to maturity and ageing.
