Irene is a Senior Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour. Possessing a Masters degree in Organisational Analysis and Behaviour from the University of Lancaster, Irene led the team that successfully developed the Organisational Behaviour Field of study and was its field manager for many years. She leads several units of study at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Irene is a qualified teacher and a Fellow of the Higher Academy and stood as external examiner for several institutions. She has refereed text books, delivered conference papers in England, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden and Russia, and published papers on quality.
Irene has been actively involved in TEMPUS projects, on
quality systems for several years and published papers on the importance of
quality procedures.
Irene was an academic leader in a project funded by Leonardo da Vinci which involved working closely with GVA Grimley to develop, pilot and
test a quality training programme, delivered by work based learning.
Irene has
twenty five years of work experience, primarily in the hospitality sector, at
all levels in the public and private sector. She has worked in
management, provided consultancy and management training for companies as diverse
as Vauxhall Motors, Fisher Foods, England and Zagrebacka Banka, Croatia.
Just prior to joining the University of Bedfordshire she ran her own corporate catering business and in total spent over 25 years in industry in a wide variety of occupations including consultancy, management and staff training.
