- About Us

Tuition fees help cover the costs of university, such as salaries of teaching staff and also the cost of the equipment and facilities that you will use during your studies. To work out the approximate cost of your studies, you should multiply the tuition fee amount by the number of years that you will be studying.
If you are a full-time UK/EU student then you will not have to pay
your tuition fees up front or during your studies. You will need to make an application through your Local Education Authority to the Student Loans Company (SLC) for a loan. Tuition fees are then paid as a
loan, by the Student Loan Company, directly to the
University on your behalf.
You will only have to pay the loan back through the tax system once you have completed your degree studies and are earning over £15,000.
The new government reforms to student funding do not affect those students starting university in the academic year 2011/2012.
The Government has decided to change the way that Universities are
funded for teaching, replacing the Government grant with funding from student
fees. Through a system of graduate loan repayments, graduates will be expected
to contribute up to the full cost of their courses. Please don't panic - you do
not have to pay up-front - you only start paying the fees after you have
completed your studies and are earning more than £21,000.
We plan to charge between £6,000 and £9,000 for our undergraduate-level courses. And if you choose to study at the University of Bedfordshire, you will benefit from the following:
And don't forget, graduates earn considerably more during their lifetime than non-graduates, so choosing to study a degree not only represents good value now but also a very sound future investment.
We look forward to welcoming you at the University of Bedfordshire.

Lyndsay Murphy, President, University of Bedfordshire Students' Union
