You must apply for your bursary yourself - there is no automatic process. The SLC administration is handled in Glasgow and payments made directly into your bank account.

Students who are paying their own tuition fees, need to apply to the Student Money Advice team at studentmoney@beds.ac.uk, who administers the University's own assessment and payment process.

Payments are made in three equal instalments directly into your bank account (by cheque for students who are paying their own tuition fees or sponsored by other than the SLC).

  • First payment of 33% middle of December
  • Second payment of 33% third week in March
  • Final payment of 34% third week in May
