Terms and Conditions for application

This scholarship is for students who achieve academic excellence in their studies prior to entering the University.

An Academic Scholarship is worth £1,100 on entry to the University and is available to you if you achieve a least 280 UCAS points, with at least 200 at A2 level.

Academic Scholarships are only available to UK/EU students who meet the following eligibility criteria. You must:

  • be on, or have applied for, a full time BA/BSc/B.Ed degree for which the maximum allowable fee is charged for UK/EU students;
  • have an entry qualifications score of at least 280 UCAS tariff points gained in one sitting, with at least 200 points at A2 level;
  • be a new entrant student to the University for the 2011/12 academic year;
  • meet the normal course entry requirements;
  • submit your application, with supporting evidence, to the Admissions Office by the closing deadline.

To apply for an Academic Scholarship you must complete the application form and submit it to the address on the form by the closing date.

Your application will be verified and sent to the Scholarships and Bursaries Committee for approval once you have registered with the University.

If your results are not forwarded to us via UCAS, we may write to you requesting copies of your Examination certificates.

You are not eligible for an Academic Scholarship if you are:

  • an overseas student paying full overseas fees;
  • on a course at the British School of Osteopathy;
  • have qualifications which do not appear on the UCAS tariff.

Closing date for applications is Friday 7 October 2011.
