Vice Chancellor's Scholarship

Terms and Conditions for application

This scholarship is for students who are talented and gifted within their chosen subject area and is worth up to £10,000 in value which can only be used to cover the cost of the tuition fee.

One scholarship is available to one student per year in each University of Bedfordshire Faculty. The Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship is only available to Home/EU students who meet the following eligibility criteria. You must:

  • be on, or have applied for, a full time BA/BSc/BEd degree for which the maximum allowable fee is charged for Home/EU student;
  • be on, or have applied for, a course delivered at the University of Bedfordshire and not at an accredited partner college;
  • maintain an appropriate standard of behaviour throughout the course of study at the University of Bedfordshire.
  • If a recipient does not meet the appropriate standard of behaviour and the scholarship is withdrawn from that individual it will not be offered to another student.

How to apply

To apply for the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship you must complete the application form and submit it to the address given on the Application Form.

You must include a supporting statement detailing how you will benefit from the award of the scholarship and your academic achievements within your chosen subject area to date which could include any exam results you have achieved, predicted grades or school prizes.

Applications received by the deadline will be considered by the Head of Welfare and Pastoral Services and be subject to consideration by the Dean of the Faculty where the course of study will be taking place.

The Dean of Faculty will recommend from a shortlist of applicants a suitable candidate to the Vice Chancellor who will make a final decision.

The closing date for application is Wednesday 30 November 2011.
