UK
and EU students can apply for a UK Government loan The amount that
you will receive is based upon your household income.
Student loans of up to
£4,950 per year are available for students living away from home, and for those
students who are living at home during their studies, up to £3,838 is available
per year.
The loan is repayable, which means that after you have left university, and when you are earning over £15,000 you will begin making repayments.
Students can borrow all or part of their tuition fees from the
Student Loans Company (SLC).
The SLC will pay the fee directly to the
University on the student's behalf.
This loan is repaid by the student, once they have completed their studies and are earning a minimum of £15,000.
The new tuition fee system for UK/EU students means that neither you or your parents have to pay the fees up front – it’s pay as you earn, not pay as you learn!

The Maintenance Grant does not apply to students who are on an Initial Teacher Training course.
EU students are not eligible for the Maintenance Grant.
How much you will receive will depend on your household income and the year of study. For example:
If you receive means–tested benefits such as
income support, then you may receive a Special Support Grant in place of the
Maintenance Grant.

pay it back. See the scholarships and bursaries section for more details.
The BSO scheme is for full–time home students who are charged the
full £3,145 tuition fees on the BSO programme validated by the University.
It consists of a non–repayable
annual bursary of £500 to students from households whose income has been
assessed through the LEA/SLC process, as less than £25,000. EU students will
receive the statutory annual bursary of £305.

This bursary is available to students who are ordinarily resident in England and who are on an approved non–graduate or undergraduate course (full–time or part–time).
