If you’re a part-time higher education student, you may be able to get a Fee Grant and a Course Grant.
The Fee Grant can help towards your tuition fees. The Course Grant is there to help towards other study costs - such as books, materials and travel.
These grants are non-repayable, which means you do not have to pay them back once you have completed your studies.
Enter 'first time part-time students' in the search box at www.direct.gov.uk to find guidance notes, country specific information and application forms.
UK students need to make their application on form PTG1
If you are a UK student you can ask your Local Authority (LA) to send you an application form. For comprehensive information on Student Finance visit www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance
