As a parent, finding suitable accommodation for you son or daughter is important. This could be the first time that they are away from home for a long period of time, and naturally you are going to want your child to be happy and comfortable, and live in a smart, safe and secure environment. Here at the University of Bedfordshire we offer just that.
Each of the halls are no more than a 15 minute walk away from campus if you are based in Luton, and at the Bedford campus the halls are situated on-site. All of our halls offer excellent 24 hour a day security so you can be assured of a secure living environment for your son or daughter.
Each of the halls consist of a number of fully-furnished flats, each with five to six bedrooms, a kitchen/diner, two shower rooms, toilet facilities and internet access.
The bedrooms come equipped with a single bed and mattress, fitted desk and drawers, wash basin, wardrobe, storage heater and a mirror.
A new accommodation complex 'Fitzroy Court' opened September 2011.
The flats at the new £20m state-of-the-art Halls of Residence - Liberty Park - house over 500 students’ and have a shared kitchen and living area.
They are fully fitted with five bedrooms. Each bedroom includes an en-suite shower, toilet facilities and a washbasin plus a separate telephone and data point for high speed internet access.
Each bedroom is furnished with a bed and mattress, study desk, chair, television point and a bookshelf.
We encourage students to apply for their accommodation as soon as possible, so that they get their preferred choice. The best way to find out what accommodation is right for your son or daughter is to come along to an open day and look inside the accommodation we offer.
Living in halls of residence is a great way for your son or daughter to make new friends. The majority of students moving into halls are in the same boat and make friends straight away.
