Hello, I'm Kui Jiang from China and I'm studying the BA (Hons) Advertising and Marketing Communications at the University of Bedfordshire.

This is the final year of my degree although it's my first year at this university as I did two years of study at the China Agricultural University and then my final year here.

To be honest this year has been fabulous! First of all for most international students they will see a different teaching style and culture which may be seen as a problem, however, at the university you can get lots of help and support.

Places such as the student centre, student union, chaplaincy and International office have very nice staff who are friendly, professional and patient.

When you first arrive maybe your language is not very good but people are very patient and able to listen to you and try to understand you opinion which I really appreciate!

I know from my tutor that the university has invested in professional, academic online resources. This has helped me when I have been working at home, which is very convenient.

The university has also invested in the facilities on campus, such as the business suites. In China all of the walls in the classrooms are white, here they are brightly coloured and the moment you step in the room you think, wow!

It's very different to the classrooms at home in China, there you are seated in rows, here you get to sit on sofas!

For me, coming here is not only for study, but also for life. In Luton, if you really want a better life, you can have one.
