Sponsored students

If your fees are being paid by an employer you will need to bring to registration a letter signed by an appropriately authorised individual, on letter headed paper, containing the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your year of study
  • The amount or percentage of the fee being paid
  • Invoice address if different

Please note that a new letter will be required for each year of study.

Self funded students

The University of Bedfordshire operates an advance payment scheme for International students. It is the requirement of the university that these applicants pay a minimum of 50% of the year’s tuition fees before the Confirmation for Acceptance of Studies letter (CAS) can be issued.

Please note that a minimum of 65% of the total fee must be paid before your registration can be completed. Full-time international students are required to pay the remaining 35% of tuition fees by December (for September intake students) & April (for February intake students) or in 5 equal instalments within 5 months of official start date of their course, by direct debit with a UK clearing bank and agreed by Finance Department. Students paying their tuition fee in instalments will incur an additional £100 administration charge.

Full time students will be asked to sign a form confirming which method you will select to pay your university tuition fees. This form will need to be countersigned by your sponsor or signed and stamped by your sponsoring bank if you are paying by a bank loan.

Part time International students are required to pay 100% of the appropriate tuition fee for each year of study before or at registration.

We estimate that the annual cost of living in Bedfordshire is around £600 per month which includes accommodation, food and personal expenses.

Useful information

(1) Applicants on a full student visa are not eligible for part-time study.

(2) These scholarships do not apply to students coming from official collaborative partners, as special financial arrangements will already be in place.
