Once you are in the UK it is important that you have access to a bank account. As well as keeping your money safe, an account will also prove useful when it comes to paying rent and securing property.
Please be aware that it is important to open an account as soon as possible after arriving, as it can take up to three weeks to complete the process.
There are various types of accounts available. We would advise students to find out about the different accounts before settling with one.
Representatives of some of the major banks will visit the University during orientation week. Please take some time to talk to them.
