Why did you choose the University of Bedfordshire?

I was impressed by the 'word of mouth' report I had from friends who had attended the University. Upon researching it myself, I felt that the cosmopolitan nature of the community was an added advantage.

Why did you choose your course?

I chose BSc Nursing Studies because I have always sought to improve my career and this was the next logical step!

What has been the biggest challenge you have faced so far?

Getting used to the referencing systems used here! I also had some feelings of loneliness and uncertainty when I arrived at the University, but I joined the International Friendship group and those feelings slowly gave way, with the help of my mentor, who was ever-ready to help and showed me around the campus and the town.

What areas of study do you enjoy the most?

I like the fact that my marks are entirely based on my capability. This drives and motivates me to ensure that the assignments I turn in are as high as possible on the scale of excellence.

Do you have a good relationship with your lecturers?

I would rate the support I receive from them as super excellent! They are most helpful with all aspects of my studies. There is an easy cameraderie that aids communication. All their efforts are geared towards ensuring that we fit perfectly into nursing practice in the UK.

What skills do you think you have learned as a result of your time at the University?

I have built up my skills in being diplomatic and taking different cultures and nationalities into consideration as I am nursing. I have also acquired the ability to structure my CV for any role that I might apply for.

How would you finish this sentence: 'The University of Bedfordshire is...'?

Accommodating, highly technical and can boast of lecturers that are involved in the total education of their students.
