International
My university in China, the China Agricultural University, has a collaboration in place with the University of Bedfordshire, so that is why I came here. As for my course, BA Hons Advertising and Marketing Communications, I wanted the chance to gain a good base of knowledge about advertising and marketing to prepare me for an advertising planning job.
The biggest challenge has been coming up with fresh and original ideas for a real-life business pitch!
It provides me with a real-world setting and context that allows me to learn practical skills rather than just academic theories.
The University of Bedfordshire aims to deliver courses that develop employment skills and practical knowledge. Please imagine that it is like working in a real organisation, because it is a great chance to link your academic knowledge with the practices of industry.
Work experience can definitely support your study and make you more efficient. I worked as a Receptionist in the University's International Office and also as a mentor in the International Friendship Group. I enjoyed working in the office because everyone is nice and friendly and they are patient with me as they teach me how to start and carry out my work.
The University of Bedfordshire is a place to enjoy difference.
