Supporting enterprise and innovation
The Knowledge Hub is the gateway for business support at the University, offering organisations of all sizes the chance to develop via access to a number of initiatives. We have a variety of tools available to businesses, a wealth of experience in delivering business support and we are dedicated to helping companies become more innovative leading to sustainable growth:
- We offer business growth support including projects supported by the Government. We provide businesses with a one-stop shop service for enterprise, offering a range of support including Intellectual Property advice and business mentoring.
- We support start-up companies and are committed to assisting fledgling businesses by providing free lectures such as the Basics of Building a Business series – offering entrepreneurs the chance to learn essential business skills.
- We have a network of leading experts and researchers at the University that actively work with organisations on a number of projects including one-to-one consultancy.
- We also provide organisations with access to state-of-the-art facilities from microscopes to media studios.
- We provide businesses with access to some of the country’s highest-calibre graduates through the delivery of short term placements and longer term cutting-edge research.
- Training is also at the heart of what we can offer to local companies – delivering continuous professional development (CPD) and offering bespoke training.
- Our networking group, the Knowledge Network, provides ample opportunities to meet contacts and attend events that deliver cutting-edge research, and the latest developments in science and computer technology.
Based at Putteridge Bury Conference Centre, we can also offer first class conference facilities in beautiful rural surroundings with state-of-the-art facilities.
