Hemel Hempstead-based company Diebold specialises in integrated electronic security systems. Diebold were caught up in the Buncefield fire in 2005 which affected the whole of the company and its employees. Diebold approached the University last year to train 16 of its colleagues at a series of workshops.
Diebold wanted to train and develop new and existing employees to help the company rebuild its operations after relocating due to the Buncefield fire. They also wanted their management team to work more closely together.
Through the bespoke training on offer through the Knowledge Hub, the University trained a group of staff together in management, and sales and marketing. Delivered at the University’s Putteridge Bury campus, the 16 employees also benefited from team building as a result of having the training together. The workshops were exclusively for Diebold employees and were related directly to their work.
“As a team we have not only got to know each other better, but have learnt new skills as well as developing our existing ones, all of which will increase our success as a Management Team and, in turn support our business in becoming more efficient, increasing profitability.”
John Sentinella, the University’s Business Development Manager said:
