- About Us
Basics of Building a Business (B3) is a short series of FREE seminars aimed at those interested in starting up their own business and or have an interest in enterprise. Open to University of Bedfordshire staff, students and members of the public from Bedfordshire.
The series is made up of eight seminars – each seminar will be delivered twice by a successful business person, once in Luton and then again in Bedford (Luton series has now been completed - Bedford seminars are now available). Each seminar this year will provide a mixture of theory, case studies and interactive exercises that will assist, enable and encourage you to form your own business, start up an enterprise or enter our business competitions.
The seminars link directly with the University’s B3 Business Concept Competition 2010 and the B3 Business Plan Competition 2011
The Video Link will also be used to connect the Bedford campus to the seminars in term 1 and Luton in term 2 (subject to demand).
B3 is associated with the Business School module: 'Creating a New Business' (MAR001-3), which is an available option for final year Business Studies (subject to registration), giving 30 credits. B3 is open to all University of Bedfordshire staff and students as well as members of the public in Bedfordshire. Only third year business will gain credits.
