1. Keep active! Fight fatigue by exercising regularly
to be able to sustain the highest energy levels and work rate. Better still, in
companies where employees exercise together, there are lower rates of
absenteeism, better morale, better staff retention and increased productivity.
2. There is no such thing as a bad food! All foods
provide energy and we need energy to survive but don’t over indulge on fatty
foods. A mince pie contains enough energy to sustain about one mile of brisk
walking or jogging.
3. Try to fit regular exercise into the festive
period. Most of us have spare time, so keep your fitness levels up and burn a
few calories to make room for an extra portion of Christmas
pud!
4. Drinking too much alcohol can quickly lead to
dehydration. Be kind to yourself and drink plenty of water before going to bed
to help reduce the symptoms of a hangover the following day.
5. Over-ambitious resolutions rarely work. Set
achievable goals for yourself and stick to them.
