Comparative level descriptors are used across the University to ensure that we teach to broadly the right level.
These descriptors are derived from those developed by SEEC See www.seec.org.uk for further details of the descriptors and their use.
These descriptors should be used in conjunction with the appropriate Subject Benchmarks and the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications, to clearly establish the standards expected of students and to assign units to appropriate academic levels. Details of Subject Benchmarks can be found on the QAA website.
