The Centre for Learning Excellence's role in the University is to help and support staff across the University to teach and promote learning effectively. This CLE day-long induction day complements local induction activity and puts your role in context. It also gives you an opportunity to develop cross-institutional support networks. As well as helping you to become more aware of the University’s teaching and learning philosophy and key processes We will try to address your teaching needs over the course of the day and flag up longer term assistance available to you and how the CLE can support you. The CLE Administrator will be in touch with details but if you have any queries, please email CLE@beds.ac.uk

There are a number of useful external sources of information for new academic staff. The Higher Education Academy site is a good place to start. You can access your Subject Network from here which should provide helpful guidance on the teaching of your subject and student learning. There is also an on-line database of resources to support new academic staff.
If you have any queries about any of the above, please contact Lesley Lawrence.
