The University is committed to helping and supporting all staff in the development of their teaching practice. This area of the site points you towards sources and guidance available for staff, whether you are a new member of staff, a visiting lecturer, a member of staff from a partner institution, or an academic director.
You will find that the primary means of support will come from colleagues within your department but the University offers a range of professional development sessions and activities during the year. We also also involved in the annual University Conference.
You will also find in this section information on HEA-accredited training through our Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice, guidance on how to become recognised by the Higher Education Academy through the direct application route, and our Peer Support procedures.
Staff at the CLE have also developed guides which are designed to help and support staff with various aspects of the University's curriculum and its support for students and their development.
