A University of Luton lecturer has added four new books to his literary collection, including a Polish edition of one of his best-known works.
Dr John Stredwick, who teaches Human Resource Management at the University’s Business School, has already had previous editions of his books published in Russian and Chinese, and now his publisher has taken the decision to release a Polish edition of one of his best-sellers, Managing People in Small Businesses.
Speaking about his latest achievements, John said: “My books have been extensively revised and cover a number of areas that are now highly relevant to HR professionals around the world.
“The foreign editions of my books are quite timely as they reflect the changing student-mix at the University of Luton, in particular the growing number of students from Estonia, the Czech Republic and Poland.”
John’s new books also include Introduction to Human Resource Management, Flexible Working and Business Environment.
“These books will provide students with the practical and theoretical aspects of human resource management including flexible working, pay and reward management,” said John.
Prior to joining the University in 1992, John was Head of HR for a large organisation in the home improvement industry. Over the last decade he has run the CIPD professional programme at the University and has lectured in Singapore and Dubai.
Flexible Working and Business Environment were commissioned by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, of which John is a Fellow, and are set to become essential reading for HR students around the country. Managing People in Small Businesses was commissioned by Kogan Page publishers and the Sunday Times.
