The University of Luton Choir is searching for a few spare tenors - but not the ones in your wallet – it’s your voice they are after!
Choir members are currently rehearsing for their forthcoming spring concert, which will take place on 1 April at St Margaret’s Methodist Church in Luton, and need more tenors to complete the line-up.
Choir Secretary, Gillian Malins said: “We always welcome new members, both male and female, but we particularly need tenors at the moment. 2005 was a great year for us, particularly the Leagrave Proms, and we want to add to our events programme for 2006 with a stronger line-up.”
The programme will feature a variety of music including contemporary and jazz music as well as works by George Shearing, Monteverdi and Pergolesi.
Practice takes place every Thursday evening from 6.30pm – 8.30pm at the University’s School of Media, Art and Design in Park Square.
