It’s partridges and plum puddings all-round as the University of Bedfordshire’s Choir presents an evening of seasonal music at the Park Square campus in Luton.
The concert takes place on Saturday 25 November, with musical director Julie Beaman leading the choir, accompanied by top local organist James Banville. James studied at the Royal Academy of Music and has been resident organist at churches around the town including All Saints Church, the Parish Church of St Mary and St Luke's Church.
The Choir will perform music covering the period between advent and Christmas, with new and traditional songs, including works the University orchestra’s Associate Composer Richard Sisson.
Choir Secretary Gillian Malins said: “The University Choir has been running for 12 years and we perform regularly in and around the local area.
“We look forward to showing the local community our musical talents and getting them in the festive spirit for Christmas.”
The concert starts at 8pm at the University’s Park Square Campus, Park Street, Luton. Tickets cost £8 and £6 with concessions, and are available on the door, or from The Library Theatre Box Office on 01582 547474.
