The University of Bedfordshire is celebrating after being awarded top marks - a “Confidence” rating in its recent Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) audit.
The QAA checks how UK universities maintain their own academic standards and quality. It reviews and reports on how they meet their responsibilities, identifies good practice and makes recommendations for improvement.
It publishes guidelines to help UK universities and colleges develop effective systems to ensure students have the best learning experience.
The QAA spent eight days at the University going through the University’s own self assessment and records and interviewing staff.
Martina Rohr, the University’s Academic Registrar, said: “We are very pleased to be given this rating which is recognition of the quality of learning opportunities we offer and the academic standards of awards we make.”
Vice Chancellor Professor Les Ebdon CBE said: “Our staff put in a tremendous amount of effort to reflect the fantastic work we are doing here and I am delighted the end result is proof it was all worthwhile. “
