The University of Bedfordshire is to be part of the first BBC Radio 4 tour in the autumn.
BBC Radio 4 is staging roadshows at three universities in a bid to bring in younger listeners.
In an interview in The Guardian, controller Mark Damazer said he had scheduled autumn tours to the universities of Bedfordshire, Cardiff and Derby to bring Radio 4 to audiences more au fait with YouTube than You and Yours, the station’s consumer programme.
A range of programmes is likely to be broadcast from the University’s Bedford campus. These are yet to be confirmed.
Vice Chancellor Les Ebdon CBE, said: “We are thrilled to be part of the BBC Radio 4 tour. Our facilities at Bedford are fantastic and we look forward to taking part in this exciting event.”
