University jumps 13 places in national guide

The University of Bedfordshire has jumped 13 places in The Independent’s Complete University Guide 2010.

It has been ranked 72 out of 113 in the guide published in the daily newspaper and online at www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk.

The University appears in 19 subject tables and is in a higher position in six. Its ranking for sociology has improved significantly from 65 out of 87 last year to 37 out of 91 this year.

Vice Chancellor Les Ebdon, said: “This is a splendid performance. Congratulations to the whole university.”

* In The Guardian University Guide the University has been ranked 88 out of 117, an improvement of three places for the second year running. It can be seen at www.EducationGuardian.co.uk/universityguide.
