A lecturer at the University has written a book to enable virtual organisation users to share resources and accomplish complex tasks better.
Nik Bessis is a senior lecturer and was head of postgraduate courses from 2004-08 in the Department of Computing and Information Systems.
Dr Bessis has edited ‘Grid Technology for Maximizing Collaborative Decision Management and Support: Advancing Effective Virtual Organizations’ which provides a state-of-the-art collection of opportunities and applicable practices of grid technology to sustain competitive advantage.
Offering a collection of international research studies by leading experts and published by IGI Global, the book describes how grid technology can be applied to serve the purpose within interconnected organisations in an effective and efficient collaborative setting.
Dr Bessis said: “This book will ensure that grid technology shall be of the fullest interest to decision makers seeking collaborative decision management and support by advancing effective virtual organisations.”
The book goes on sale this Sunday (31 May) at Amazon and other bookstores.
