BBC Radio 4 visits the University of Bedfordshire this week on the second leg of its first-ever autumn tour.
It will be at the Bedford campus on Thursday and Friday 29 and 30 October to give students the opportunity to see programme recordings, meet production staff and presenters and attend workshops.
Bedfordshire is one of three universities chosen to take part in the tour which features a range of student workshops and a variety of live recordings open to staff and students only.
Featured programmes include With Great Pleasure (featuring Robert Webb from the TV sitcom Peep Show), The News Quiz, Thinking Allowed (half-hour discussion programme) and sketch show/mockumentary Nick Mohammed: Apollo 21.
BBC Radio 4 Commissioning Editor Caroline Raphael said: “We’re very excited about this project. We thought it would be a great way of showcasing Radio 4 to the curious minds of tomorrow.”
Vice Chancellor Professor Les Ebdon CBE, said: “We are thrilled to be part of the BBC Radio 4 tour. Our facilities at Bedford are fantastic and we are looking forward to taking part in this unique and exciting event.”
