The University of Bedfordshire has been shortlisted for two Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards.
The University’s monthly newspaper Life and the staff website are up for the gongs in the Best Newspaper or Magazine and the Internal Communications categories respectively.
The CIPR PRide Awards recognise excellence in PR and communications across the UK.
Nationally there were 1,448 entries this year. The University of Bedfordshire will be judged in the Thames and Chiltern region.
Life is up against two other local publications, Hertsmere Borough Council’s Hertshere and Milton Keynes Hospital NHS Foundation Trust’s Hospital News.
The staff website will be competing against Aylesbury Vale District Council’s AVDC Podcasts and Butterfield Morris Bushell’s Inside DLR, a guide for new Docklands Light Railway employees.
The University has a history of success at these awards; it won two awards in 2007 for its corporate website and undergraduate prospectus.
Director of Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications Patricia Murchie said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for these awards. It is testament to the hard work of the team that we have been recognised in this way.”
The winners will be announced in November. For full details of the awards go to http://ciprprideawards.com
