A second year dance student at the University of Bedfordshire is joining two members of staff on an elite judging panel next month.
Luke Jessop has been asked to judge on Youth Dance England’s regional dance platform for youth dance, Radiate, at The Junction in Cambridge.
He will be joined by dance lecturers James Hewison and Elsa Bradley from the University on Saturday, 6 March.
Luke, who was contacted directly by Youth Dance England, said: “It should be really cool; I’ve never been a judge before but I’m really looking forward to it.”
The panel will select just one piece from the region for the national youth dance festival at Birmingham in July.
Elsa said: “This is a prestigious thing for Luke to achieve as most judges are long-standing professionals in the dance field.”
