It is graduation time at the University of Bedfordshire for hundreds of students next week.
The graduation ceremonies for the University’s Bedford campus are taking place on Monday and Tuesday (12-13 July) at the Corn Exchange in St Paul’s Square.
Students are mainly drawn from the Faculty of Education and Sport, although all four faculties will be represented at one of the ceremonies.
A civic ceremony is taking place on Monday afternoon at 3.30pm which will see staff and local dignitaries process to the Corn Exchange accompanied by the University of Bedfordshire Pipe Band.
The University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Les Ebdon CBE, said: “Our students have worked incredibly hard to get this far and I congratulate each and every one of them for remaining focused and dedicated throughout.
“I wish them every success for the future whether they are entering the world of work or going on to postgraduate study.”

Five honorary degrees are also being awarded over the two days. The Director of Rugby at Bedford Blues, former Welsh international Mike Rayer, is receiving the award of an Honorary Master of Science for his achievements in rugby union.
He has been at the Blues since 2005 after spending two seasons at Goldington Road as a player in the 1990s.
