Staff and invited student guests recently gathered for the annual Summer Party and Awards afternoon at the Putteridge Bury campus.
The Party marked the end of the academic year and celebrated individual and team achievements over the past 12 months.
Awards were presented by Vice Chancellor, Professor Les Ebdon CBE. Overall, 17 awards were handed out including 11 staff ASPIRE Awards and six National Association of Student Employment Services (NASES) student awards.
The 2010 Staff ASPIRE Awards saw three categories of awards presented; a Governors' Recognition Award, four Commitment Award winners and six Outstanding Customer Service Award winners (four individual and two team winners).
ASPIRE Commitment Award winners were:
Outstanding Customer Service Award winners were Paul Cavendish, Helen Callaghan, Joanna Holmes and Kime West.
Team winners in this category were The Language Centre Team and Web & Design Team (Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications).
Additionally, five student awards and one student employer award were presented by Professor Ebdon on behalf of NASES.
