Radu Cotosman is off on his travels this Easter after successfully applying for the 2010 Study China programme.

The final year Business Decision Management student has won a place on the Easter programme along with students from other universities.

They are all going to Zhejiang in China at the end of March and Romanian Radu is looking forward to the experience.

He said: “I can’t wait to visit China; it’s a place I have always wanted to visit and I’ve now been given this excellent opportunity. I’m sure that I will have a great time there and I feel privileged that I have been selected.”

Only 100 out of nearly 1,000 applicants were successful and Radu said: “I advise students at the University to apply and knowing that you have been accepted gives you a real sense of achievement.”

Study China is a government-funded three-week study programme in China. It offers a tremendous opportunity to learn about China, its language and its culture, and it is open to all undergraduates.

There is another programme running for this summer and all students are welcome to apply at http://servalan.humanities.manchester.ac.uk/studychina
