Bedfordshire’s businesses are invited to take part in a day dedicated to innovation at the University of Bedfordshire. Health, digital industries and green technologies will be the focus of this free event, which takes place from 9am on 21 April at Butterfield Business Park.
Two
keynote speakers and high profile innovators, Nokia’s Director of Open
Innovation and Academic Relations for its
Research Centre Claudio Marinelli, and ITV Product Innovation Lead Jon Block,
will be sharing their knowledge and expertise, giving delegates a valuable
insight into innovation at these companies both locally and globally.
Delegates will experience innovation in practice at a number of workshops taking place throughout the day. Innovation experts will be demonstrating their skills on real companies which are looking to work through particular issues, as well as helping businesses to understand the process of innovating.
Wesley Randle, Director of Innovation at the University of Bedfordshire, said: “This is our second Innovation Day and we’re looking forward to building on the success of last year’s event. Innovation can take many forms. Our main focus this year is on health, green technologies and digital industries. A business from any sector will benefit from the skills they will be able to take away from this event. We will also be on hand to demonstrate the benefits to business of collaboration with the University of Bedfordshire.”
A range of local companies will be displaying and demonstrating their innovations in a dedicated exhibition throughout the day.
