Managers are invited to apply for the next Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme beginning in October.
The programme, which can be studied part-time at weekend business school, has been revised to offer a comprehensive professional development programme for experienced managers. The course aims to develop students’ entrepreneurial manager skills in an international context while promoting business innovation and creativity.
The Business School is hosting a free MBA evening on 28 June, which will allow delegates to sample aspects of the MBA programme, including strategy, marketing, finance and international business/communications to provide delegates with practical tips and advice. There is a free buffet with networking opportunities following the session.
Students interested in the programme can also meet with academic staff and alumni at an MBA open evening on 8 September.
The University Business School is also planning to offer MBA programmes specialising in Healthcare and Information technology in the next academic year.
Tim Priestman - MBA Programme Director, said: “We are delighted to offer these new specialisms. We have had an excellent response from both sectors and our collaboration has produced a course combining the core competencies of an MBA, such as strategy and marketing, with sector specific units in emerging technologies and governance and ethics.
“The general MBA has also been revised with the addition of creativity and innovation and an international unit examining global opportunities for both large and small companies.”
