A talented artist at the University of Bedfordshire is continuing to back the charity Victim Support.
Mo Lea, a Senior Lecturer in Education (Art and Design) at the Bedford campus, is putting on a fundraising exhibition which opened at the weekend.
She has produced some stunning new drawings for Birds in Flight which opened on Saturday (9 April) at St Paul’s Church in the centre of Bedford. It is now open every day from 10am-4pm until this Saturday (16 April).
Mo, who survived an attack from the serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, known as the Yorkshire Ripper, is aiming to help raise at least £1million for Victim Support – the amount it has cost to keep Sutcliffe in prison – through a variety of initiatives.
She said: “Drawing has been my lifeline over the years, allowing me to transform my negative emotions into creative, positive and meaningful artwork.”
