More
than £600 was raised at this year’s Jailbreak event, organised by the University of Bedfordshire Students’ Union (UBSU).
Four teams set off from the Bedford campus at 9am on a Saturday morning and had to travel as far away as possible in the next 36 hours – without spending any money!

The
winning team, The Bandits, made it to
Whitley Bay
in Tyne and Wear – a distance of 199
miles.
Two teams, The Dribblers and The Houdini’s, made it 161 miles to finish joint second after crossing the Channel and reaching Calais in France.

And In Last Place lived up to their name by making it to Darlington in County Durham – a still considerable distance of 131 miles.
