James Armit, Director for Student Experience

The University of Bedfordshire has appointed James Armit as Director for Student Experience.

James, who took up his new role last month (March), has a wealth of management knowledge in higher education, having previously served as Registrar at institutions in both the private and state sectors.

Speaking about his new role, James said: “I’m excited to be joining the University, focussing on leading and managing change on various student focused projects.

“In the five weeks since my arrival at the University I’ve been very impressed. The University has good leadership with clear direction. Investment in facilities, such as the new Campus Centre at Luton, epitomises this. Students I’ve spoken to are also impressed with the commitment to investment being made at the University.”

James is a member of both the Association of University Administrators (AUA) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), and, has a Masters Degree in Higher and Professional Education from The University of London.
