All Saints visit

The University of Bedfordshire hosted a specialist higher education taster event for local students from All Saints Academy in Dunstable.

The University is a sponsor of the school and was pleased to welcome some 35 students to the Luton campus to experience University life.

Students chose between four specialist areas - ICT and Business, Media, Science and Art - where they used the University’s state-of-the-art facilities to carry out tasks in each subject area. They also enjoyed a visit to the new £34m Campus Centre.

The event was organised by the University’s Aimhigher team and Steve Kendall, Associate Dean of the University’s Partnership Office, said: “We really enjoyed offering this fantastic opportunity for young people to investigate and prepare for higher education.”

Alison Spicer, Achievement Leader at All Saints Academy said: “We hope this visit has raised aspirations and helped our students believe in what they can achieve.”

The University’s key strengths are high-quality teaching, strong employability, excellent student support, helping students beyond the curriculum and world-renowned research.
