University’s partner college principal appointed

The University of Bedfordshire’s partner college, Central Bedfordshire College, has appointed Ali Hadawi as new College Principal.

Mr Hadawi was also awarded a CBE in the New Year’s Honours list.

Mr Hadawi’s previous role was as Principal of Southend Adult Community College in Essex, where he was responsible for improving the College to achieve ‘Beacon status’ in its most recent Ofsted report.

Paul Anderson, Chief Executive of the University’s partner organisation UK Centre for Carnival Arts was awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours.

University of Bedfordshire Vice Chancellor Professor Les Ebdon CBE said: “I congratulate Mr Hadawi on his new appointment and look forward to us working together in the future.

“I also extend my congratulations to both Mr Hadawi and Mr Anderson for their recognition in the New Year's Honours list.”
