Fresh from success at the Lions Highland Gathering in Harpenden, the University of Bedfordshire Pipe Band is heading to Scotland next month (Aug) to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships. The Band, which recently led the procession at the Civic graduation ceremony in Luton, was voted the best dressed band at Harpenden.
Now members are heading north to Glasgow Green on 13 August to join some 8,000 pipers and drummers from around the world to compete for the title World Champion.
University of Bedfordshire Vice Chancellor Professor Les Ebon CBE said: “It is always a pleasure to see the pipe band performing at our graduations. We wish them every success next month.”
