The opening night event spanned the Luton campus, with animation screenings in the Judith Blake Theatre, pieces of work displayed within the Division of Art and Design at Park Square, and, on the ground floor space in the new Campus Centre. A Fashion Show, hosted at the UK Centre for Carnival Arts completed the evening.

Head of the Division of Art and Design John Stephens, who was leading his last show before retirement this autumn, said: “The standard of student work this year has once again been excellent. There was a great buzz around the whole show and it remained very busy throughout the evening. “

The Art and Design Show is entirely run by the students as they prepare and choose their own work, get the exhibition space and method of presentation ready, to produce a professional portfolio and other material to market themselves ahead of graduation.
