Human Resource students at the University of Bedfordshire are set to benefit from a Masterclass Conference.
The interactive conference and networking opportunity will be held in Luton’s £34m Campus Centre on Wednesday, 9 March and will bring together professionals, academics and students.
The event will be
hosted and opened by the University’s Head of Strategy and Human Resource
Management, Professor Stephen Perkins. Guests include the Chartered Institute
of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Pictions Solicitors LLP, Motivcom PLC and Plain Talking HR Ltd.
The Conference is being organised by the University’s Careers and Employment Service in partnership with the Marketing Society. It will include interactive seminars, workshops and briefings looking at current and emerging issues. Other sessions will address local and global Human Resource challenges and opportunities.
Careers Advisor, Ajaz Hussain, said: “This event brings together students, graduates, employers, professional bodies, academic staff and University support services. With students from the Marketing Society leading on the marketing and publicity campaign, this event promises to be a truly enhancing student learning experience. “
The busy Masterclass event will look at the use of online tools in launching a career in HR, a global approach to managing people, talent and transnational operations, motivation and reward systems, the challenges and opportunities of HR practice and UK government policy.
Graduate experiences will be used throughout, with an action planning and Q&A session planned.
A series of special awards will be presented on the day. Each student who attends the conference will receive a certificate of attendance to compliment their portfolio.
