Plans are underway for the University of Bedfordshire’s Grand Summer Ball in aid of its Scholarships and Bursaries Fund.

The prestigious, black tie event takes place in the stunning surroundings of Putteridge Bury just outside Luton on Saturday, 18 June. Tickets are £75 each which includes a champagne reception, food and entertainment.

Chairman of the Development Board Derek Ludlow is leading on the Ball and he said: “This is one of the most prestigious events in the county’s calendar and I am confident tickets will sell out quickly.

“The Scholarships and Bursaries Fund is a fantastic cause as it benefits students in the area who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to attend university.

“Raising money for this fund will become even more important in the future following the Government’s announcement that University funding is being cut so come along, help raise some money for a worthwhile cause and have a great time too.”
