Resident Assistants @Student Village (Red Nose Day)

The Student Village at the University of Bedfordshire is encouraging its residents to organise their own social events.

The most recent event for Comic Relief (see here) was part of the recently launched Residential Life programme operated by Campus Living Villages, which manages accommodation on the Luton campus in partnership with the University.

The Residential Life programme encourages selected students, known as Resident Assistants, to organise social events across the Village which encompasses the eight halls of residence at the Luton campus.

Rob Johnston, General Manager at the Village, said: “The Residential Life programme has been designed to enhance the community at the Student Village. We encourage our Resident Assistants to organise events throughout the year for residents to get involved, learn new things and meet new people.”

These events can range from Wii games nights to book clubs and group study sessions to a running club.

Rob said: “Part of this programme also looks at how we can support students to engage in activities in their local community. Raising money for Red Nose Day, and hopefully putting a smile on a few people’s faces, is a way in which we can do that!”
