The University of Bedfordshire is working with Peterborough City Council to bring higher education courses to school teachers in the city.

Already the University’s Education Department has delivered a number of training opportunities including professional and personal development practice for newly qualified teachers.

Now it has agreed to expand provision to offer more Masters in Education units as part of Peterborough’s Multiversity’s project. The Council is working with several higher education institutions to provide a range of courses within the city.

Vice Chancellor Professor Les Ebdon CBE said: “We are delighted to be working with Peterborough City Council and the other partners on this project. We are committed to bringing educational opportunities to where people are and we have found a real enthusiasm amongst teachers, schools and colleges in Peterborough to develop further their professional skills. The Multiversity is an exciting project and we are proud to be part of it.”
